Question: is it normal to lose pieces of mucus plug this early ?? I've been losing pieces since about 15 weeks pregnant. Im 17 1/2 weeks now. I do know it can regenerate on it's own, I'm just wondering if anyone else has been through this so early in their pregnancy because it's happening kind of frequent. Every other couple of days.. no blood with it though. I didnt start losing my mucus plug with scarlette until I was about 36 weeks. Had her at 38. I totally forgot to even ask my doctor until I just went to the restroom and it happened again.

Yes!! I lost some a few weeks ago and it freaked me out!! My doctor said it was ok though.

I even had a weird cord-like string come out and I was like what the hell is this?!?! It was so strange but my OB said it was normal lol

I lost some super early, like 12 weeks! Never any blood though.

Thanks for your reply. 💙💙💙 it scares me to see that. I didnt experience this with my last pregnancy until I was 36 weeks. So this is new to me. Lol I was starting to get a little worried.

same here I didn’t have my mucus plug come out til I was in labor with my daughter. So I was nervous wen I started losing it at 15 weeks with my son

@flamingfiremom this just goes to show that even when you're out of the first trimester , you'll still find things to worry about! It never ends 😂😂

I knew someone who lost from 23weeks on and baby still stayed in to term! Don’t stress it but I’d definitely mention it at the next checkin
