Me and my baby have to stay at the hospital for 5 days due to the infection we have because my waters were green, the baby had a poo in them before he was born. First we were told to stay at the hospital for 48 hours which I didn’t expect as I had an easy labour, thankfully. Then the infection markers in the baby’s blood were high, so we need 5 days in total. We feel good otherwise. I am very grateful to the NHS that they are so precautious and look after us so well. 5 days is long specially that I can’t see my husband and I miss my 2 year old son too much. But we will make sure the infection is treated.
