I just disagree with sacrificing not being beneficial to the person when patience is a virtue and everything is for our good. Considering others will ALWAYS benefit you as a person. When you look at the word spiritually it hits different..just my take on it.

So I sold my jeep so my family can move to a different location but we have one more jeep so I wasn't worried it the place we live now is unsafe makes me uncomfortable and were bout to sell the house so my hus asked me if I was sure bout this i said to him this isn't bout me I can always get a new one so I sold it to make sure my family is safe

Doing something for the sake of others that you yourself wont ever benefit from.

But I mean it really depends on the type of context its used it, because it can be defined in many ways.
