Hey ladies I need some tips I have a three year old with autism, she's getting her pre school boosters in just under three weeks. the nurse said it's a needle in each arm. However my daughter doesn't like people touching her especially strangers. It will be a task in itself just getting her into the gp surgery. The nurse knows our situation but I'm still nervous about putting my little girl threw it. Any advice?
Sit her on you lap, hold her so you are holding her arm against her etc so she can’t move
Nurses do minimal touching
Will just wipe to clean area, as long as you are holding her firmly they will just administer the vaccine without really touching 😊
It’s in the top of the arm xx
Could you download an episode of Peppa Pig (or whatever she likes) on your phone for her to watch as a distraction! Or feed her chocolate buttons while it’s being done?
