People kept scaring me about epidurals. Told me how painful it was. But when it happened, I actually barely felt it. That’s what I told my cousin before she had her baby, and she told me she barley felt it either. So if you have never had one and you’re planning to, don’t worry.

It also depends on the doc placing it though. If they hit a nerve, you will feel it. With my first I didn’t at all, with my second he tapped a nerve and I felt it in my sciatic nerve down my right leg, didn’t hurt a ton, but it was definitely uncomfortable

I’ve had about 9 of them due to them not working falling out and being in wrong but yeah until they hit that nerve 😅 it’s easy

Mine was so smooth 🤷🏽♀️ He walked us through his steps and it was over with before I realized it 👌🏽

Both mine were done perfectly. One was even by a student too. Epidurals are THE BEST

I couldn’t feel it either. I wasn’t sure I was thinking maybe I was more focused on the contractions than the needle

Mine hurt like a bitch. But I was also having intense contractions during. And my husband nearly passed out lol

My husband did too 🤣 During the first one I heard my doula say "can we get him some juice?"

It’s all fun and games till they cause a tear and you leak CSF fluid and have the most excruciating headache of your life for 48 hours. Then you have an additional procedure to patch the hole. Super fun. 😄

My first one was awesome. Worked perfectly and i didnt feel a thing. My second one was placed wrong so it didn't help much and now i have back problems. But i will say with my second one active labor went much more quickly because i could feel when to push. My first took almost two hours of active labor where my second took like 15 minutes lol.
