Apparently holding a CRANKY one year old who's teething like this will put her to sleep in 5 minutes flat. She'd been flailing around and fussing in my arms until she managed to turn herself over. I used both hands to properly support her head and let her arms dangle and her legs pressed against me so she wasn't going to slip. She was silent in seconds, had stopped squirming around, and silently watched what was playing on the TV until she was completely passed out in a matter of minutes. She's usually very difficult to get to sleep and then put down. But she stayed asleep when I put her down, moved her head to the other side and kept sleeping! I knew it worked for newborns but I'm so surprised it worked for her too.
