I’m feeling not so good about myself lately. I moved back to my college town for a job offer where I did my internship. I was so ready to be fully independent (my parents supported my son & I while I went to school, especially this past year because my internship was unpaid). But now I have no source of income, no unemployment benefits and they’re back to having to financially support us. At least if I had stayed at their house they wouldn’t have to help cover extra expenses like rent. I feel like I’m failing.

Chin up. It’s okay. You will be in the place you want to be soon. Your situation is temporary. It’s great your parents are able to help. I’m sure they are happy to assist you as well. If my children ever needed help, no matter their age I’d definitely do it. They want to help you get to where you need and want to be. You haven’t failed. It’s okay to get help and to not have everything. It’ll come in time.

Look for a grocery store or retail store to apply for a job at. Many are hiring right now.
Sometimes we fall down and we just need to get back up and brush off the dirt.

I’m working on it. It’s hard to motivate myself to work a job that pays $11/hr knowing I’ll be paying $10/hr for child care 😅 I applied at Aldi because they pay a little more, it wouldn’t be much after childcare but at least something to feel less useless.
