When all this is over I love trains it takes more time but you get to slow down and see the world around you

I took it to north Carolina and it was nice like 10 hours but went by got to sleep and relax

My husband went from IL to TX on Amtrak and hated it!! He said it took forever, made 12,000 stops, and hit a car on the tracks! He said there was absolutely no security and any crazy person could bring a gun on. That was his only train ride ever, and was about 13 yrs ago. So....Have fun! 😂🤷🏼♀️

I took one prior but there’s no security lol we had a good time just slept talked are watched ocies

I mean I live in nyc and before covid took trains all the time with zero security lol Amtrak is fine for a few hours but idk if I’d do it for 72 hours 🤣

Wouldn't be my thing. But I don't know how these work. Can you get off for a stretch, like busses do? Are meals included in the price of the ticket? 72 is a long time to be in one spot for me, lol. Maybe if I took some interesting people along

No they make multiple stops at least 20 or so
You have to make two transfers
But you’re able to get up walk around the train go to the food court the observatory deck where you can look out

mmm, I thought you were on a train for 72 hrs 🤣 that sounds awful. But a train with a good court? Maybe it won't be that bad 🤷🏿♀️ I've done cruises 🙈 a train probably won't be that bad, lol
