I’m in so much pain
I seriously want to give up on breastfeeding
She gets mad because it’s not enough
When I pump I only pump about 2oz from both boobs every time
I’ve been taking the tea that helps with milk and I don’t think it’s helping one bit
I think I’m done trying 😭
@queenbitch, It’ll get better! Try to focus on the good things no matter how small. Hang in there, you got this!
@mrs.hibben, I’ve tried to stay positive this whole day but it hasn’t been easy at all
Don’t pump, just nurse on demand. Even if that means every hour. Nurse her to sleep and that’ll boost your supply. My son nursed every hour til he was 7 months old and my supply was amazing. I went back to work when he was 4 months and I pumped more than enough. Make sure you’re drinking a ton of water and eating regular meals. Lots of protein and healthy fats.
@2sweetie, the problem was when she was born she was taken to the NICU and I was taken to recovery after the c section so until I was able to walk and go to the NICU the nurses where feeding her with a bottle
@queenbitch, oh got it. Sorry to hear that. She’s still very young so you can try dropping the bottles completely and basically let her be attached to you for several days or weeks until your supply adjusts to her needs. I know you have other kids so that’ll be hard but that’s your best solution.
@2sweetie, I started doing that
It hasn’t been easy
I try to latch her on as many times as possible
Even though it hurts so bad
I’m about to stop pumping . He’ll be a month old Monday. I’m lucky if i get 2 ounces when i pump! So hard to be consistent with it when i have two other kids as well!
Yes that’s all I get and she doesn’t even get full
I have to give her formula as well
Yes my kids don’t let me do much
When I have my daughter I didn’t produce enough milk for her either so my husbands aunt told me to drink chocolate abuelita along with a really nice hot/warm bath especially the water hitting my boobs and that help me a lot as soon as I walk out the shower I was having milk all over the floor. Try it maybe it will help you😊.
Have you tried a nip shield? It will help with the pain, then you’ll be able to nurse rather then pump. Your daughter will be able to get more milk then the pump.
You are not a failure! This is hard, you’re stressed and tired and in pain! The first 4-6 weeks is the hardest. Be easy on yourself. You’ll get through this.
