Anyone else have to really enforce about good hygiene is important not only because you don't want to smell bad or look like you just rolled out of bed but it's for health reasons also?? My son keeps telling me I care to much about how he LOOKS. Lol everytime I tell him about wearing deodorant etc.
Even just the basics, like brushing his hair, teeth, and putting on deodorant should be a multiple daily task.

I think it’s a boy thing. I had to argue with my oldest about wearing deodorant every day and showering. Now I’m doing it again with my 13 year old son 🤦🏻♀️ that boy stank ain’t no joke lol

Haha yes. I was thinking it was a boy thing because my brother wouldn't wear deodorant all through high school and everything I told me he needed to. But he kept doing his thing and now my son is doing it. My daughter on the other hand asks me to take baths sometimes multiple times a day lol. Loves to brush her teeth. And just changed 3x today because her clothes were dirty she told me lol

It’s definitely his age. I think all pre-teen and early teen boys do this.

I have to deal with it with my girls all the time. My 14 year old is getting better about doing it all without me reminding her, but my 12 year old has to be nagged to brush her teeth and hair and take a shower.
