A good friend of mine has Covid pneumonia and just checked into the ICU tonight 😭 She was living here but just moved to New Mexico 2 weeks ago and has no family or friends nearby. She has 4 kids. Her husband is in the navy and thankfully just got there 2 days ago so he’s taking care of the kids but he has no relationship with any of them since he’s never spent more than 2 weeks at a time with them. The youngest are 2.5 and 1.5 and he’s a complete stranger to them.

She doesn’t even know how she got it, but I’m guessing it was in the move because she was fine the whole time she was here. The last time I saw her was on June 19.

She’s the first person I know to get Covid. She’s not the healthiest person, she has asthma and diabetes.

I really hope she can recover because her 4 kids depend on her and literally have no one else. Her husband is deploying to Bahrain at the end of the month and will be gone for 2 years 😭

UPDATE: she was sent home today but her lungs hurt a lot and she is very weak. She suspects she caught it from a male friend who flew over here to drive her moving truck to her new home in New Mexico. He must’ve caught it at the airport. He is symptom-free but his wife is very sick and in the ICU 😢
