Has anyone had their little ones get sedated for oral surgery? My son is 5 and needs 4 caps put on and he was impossible to get it done at the dentist and because he has enlarged tonsils we have to go to the hospital to get done and it’s tomorrow morning I’m so scared.
@jenx, yeah I’m thinking I’m overreacting I’m so nervous when they take him away.
🙋♀️ my youngest had to have 4 caps and two fillings then again to have two crowns put on.
@scream.queen, really was it in the dentist or hospital we’re going to a hospital because of his enlarged tonsils. He’s healthy and has no problems but his teeth he needs 4 caps and 3 fillings. We had the show good doctor on now I’m freaking out of something going wrong
@kimmyx4, The first time was in an office. I was only allowed to hold him while they gave him oral meds to make him sleepy then they took him back. The second time was in a part of the hospital only for dentists. They let him color and let him pick out his own security blanket. The procedure shouldn't take too long! I would say 45 minutes to an hour. Then depending, they might want him to "recover" a little before they allow you back.
@scream.queen, thank you, you really made me feel a little better about it
Yea my second kid did and it was fine he had to get all Capps so his teeth were all silver lol
