You can give her another dose if that makes you feel better. Hives are really a minor allergic reaction to something. I get them quite a bit and so does my son. Just keep an eye on her breathing to make sure she’s okay and try to get an appt with your pedi tomorrow.
My daughter has had hives for a couple of weeks at a time. They can be a delayed reaction to a virus that she may have had and even develop a week after the virus is gone. They would always appear worse after sleeping and baths. They would somewhat fade throughout the day and return again. Sometimes the body and immune system do weird things. My daughter’s pediatrician had us wait it out, she didn’t even suggest we come in to the office. She recommended a course of allergy meds and sure enough they eventually resolved themselves in time.
ThAts exactly what they just told me over the phone because she recently did just get over a fever told me use Benadryl & that’ll they will keep coming & going for a couple of weeks. I was just concerned because this has never happened but then again she only gets sick once a year & she hasn’t had a fever since she was a baby this would be her second time experience that . I was just worried because I didn’t know what to do
I understand! I even had the school nurse call me saying my daughter had bug bites all over her. Totally made me question myself. I would cringe every morning when I saw how bright they were after sleep. We also went through it recently with a rash that her pediatrician deemed viral and it lasted for almost a month! Also this only just started happening with my daughter in the last year. Very strange how our bodies handle things sometimes

Have you given her Benadryl? I wouldn’t take her to the ER unless she’s showing signs of anaphylaxis or has an extremely high fever.
