I know y’all are not doctors butttt can having an IUD cause you to be bloated? Also I have pain in my lower abdomen when I put pressure on it.. just wondering if I should bother my gyn about this

Bother. I didn’t say anything for months after getting my iud because I kept being told what I was feeling is normal. My iud has actually punctured my uterus and ended up in my pelvis. I ultimately needed to have it surgically removed.

I think it happened when they put it in because I almost blacked out. They told me the pain was normal and that it’d go away on its own

Yes say something!! I also had the same thing happen to me as above and when they went in to start checking for reasons that’s when I also found out I was pregnant with my oldest girl. After her I had a second iud put in, a different kind this time and it was always painful but after 4 years something was different about the pain and I ignored it for a month but I couldn’t anymore and when I went in I was also pregnant again with my second girl.

when I had the mirena I only spotted no period but the paraguard I bled for 7-10 days and it was always a lot.
