NBR has anyone tried intermittant fasting?
I'm giving it a go, but was wondering if anyone had any experiences of doing it.
I'm trying to lose weight but I'm shit with diets and never stick at them for long, but I'm kind of used to eating at a certain time but just my snacking through the day I'm terrible with 🤣
Oh wow thats really good! Yeah I snack through the day instead if meals and I eat after the kids go to bed so my eating window is 3/4pm till 9pm depending if im working.
Hard getting back into drinking so much water and less pop and that's what keep me alive through the day haha. Ordered loads of green tea to keep me going xx
I did 16:8 fasting. I just tried to drink loads of water during the fasting period and before eating and that way I didn't overcompensate when I ate. After a week it just felt normal and worked quite well. I had to stop because I take medication in the mornings with food but I wish I could've carried on
That's the one im doing, glad it began to feel normal. I'll try the water tip before I eat but I did pretty good yesterday, didn't over eat.
Same you had to stop, did it help you lose weight or generally feel healthier? I suffer alot with my knees and joint pain so hoping to shift some weight to help with that x
I found fasting made me worse, it just made me eat more when it was over 😂 I think meal prep works the best for losing weight. Just eat the meals you've already prepped for the week and have nothing else in the house xx
Aww no really! I wasn't bad yesterday just ate the normal amount I would for late lunch and dinner, just helped with the snacking as I was full but I guess time will tell lol.
I've tried meal prepping but again I get bored or I'm just like, I don't fancy any of this lets get a takeaway 🤣 seriously I'm my own worst enemy.
Ive just started 16:8 intermittent fasting again last monday and it takes about a week for you to get used to it. My problem is eating at night when the kids go to bed 🙄🤦🏽♀️ I have breakfast at 8, dinner at 12pm and tea at 4 then don't have anything til 8am next day. I did it last year when I started losing weight and lost nearly 5 stone without even exercising. I stopped when lockdown started but thought I need to start again. First few days is hard but your body does get used to it. If I so feel really hungry then I just get 1 biscuit before I go to bed because it's not good if you get hungry in the middle of the night then your sleep will be disturbed etc xx
