Yes same with my nephew who is 2. He is over the weight and height capacity so he also forward faces. He was 30 inches when born we knew he was gonna be too tall lol.

But you aren't taking into consideration the disproportionate size of a toddler's head compared to his body. If you were ever in a car crash you're risking internal decapitation by forward facing your son so young.
And I'm curious when you say he is over the weight capacity, are you telling me that your not even 2 year old weighs more than 40lbs?

Your son is so cute. My girls are tall for there age as well. They take after there dad . When I had my 2 year old she was 23 1/2 inches long and 10 lbs 9oz wearing 3 month clothes
