Birth story : when i got to the hospital the dr checked me around 10pm and i was 3cm & 50% effaced and started the pitocin at 11. When i was checked again at 3 am i was 4cm & 80% effaced. She then decided to break my water! Fast toward to like 5-6am the contractions were intense with the pitocin and I’m contemplated getting an epidural because i was still only 4cm! I opted out and decided to do pain meds in the iv first! I got them around 7 and immediately after i got them i fell asleep. Dr came in at 7:30 and checked me and I was 7cm ( barely remember it)! I went back to sleep after and I woke up at 8:30 and i looked at my mom and said “l need to push” i was only 9 1/2 cm but the The midwife came in and i started pushing at 8:40! I pushed for 17 mins and he was out by 8:57. I had to turn on my side because his head was stuck! And i yelled once his head was coming through because all I could feel was the burning !! The midwife helped me get his shoulders out and then the rest of him made his way out! He’s my biggest baby and I did not tear!!! I believe i didn’t tear because they midwife let me do it my self , where as the dr i had with maverick was prying me open !! I’m so glad it’s done and over with & never again 🤣
