Anyone else love watching the drive thru graduations and seeing the end of the school year goodbyes…

Anyone else love watching the drive thru graduations and seeing the end of the school year goodbyes and drive thru parades? I actually cry 😭 I’m such a big baby. to see how everyone has really pulled together and are making the most out of the situation has been so amazing. I know it’s not ideal but hey, we are all making the best of it. My sons teacher brought a gift to my door for my son and she made the students a video. Every teacher I know and at my sons home based school has been so supportive, worked so hard and did a really good job. My son was home bound but he has a home based school that he was in for the first month of the school year and he had gone there for the years prior as well. I can’t begin to tell you how good it felt to have teachers call and check on us and ask to drive by and honk their horns. These teachers were affected too but still put their all in it and tried to make things as normal as possible for their students. I can’t even tell y’all how much I love my sons teacher. He had her in pre k and we loved her but this year my love grew for her and a lot of staff and other teachers that were behind the scenes in helping my son. When we were in meetings for my sons IEP the assistant principal said “this has really affected his teacher, there are days I was afraid she wouldn’t return. She takes what Elijah is going through personally. She wants to be the one to fix him and it hurts her that she can’t. It upsets her to see him go through this. I was worried we were going to lose her.” As a mom I can’t tell you how that makes me feel. Someone who doesn’t have to, loves my son and feels the pain I feel with what he goes through. I’ll prob never meet another teacher like her. Anyways, they really did the damn thing this year. So to all the teachers on here we thank you!
