How long does it generally take to hear back (if at all) after handing in a renters application? (in person) We put a hold on both places we looked at. Keeping fingers crossed on the townhome. Both places still aren’t listed on their websites so I assume that’s still a good sign being we put a hold on them.

Totally depends on the landlord and how thorough they are going to be with their checks. Some want to check every detail and dig into history, some are quick and less thorough, some outsource the checks to a third party and may have a backlog of applications on various properties to get through before they get to yours. They really should have given you an idea when you handed in the applications. In my experience, usually a few business days

Thanks. Yeah you’d think they would have told us when to hear back from them. We had appointments Tuesday and Wednesday. Our current manager called and said to call him on Monday he had questions to ask us so I wonder too if he was contacted by one of them. So anxious to find out one way or another.
