Not all the time but ALOT of times... ( mostly) black women , white men and elderly white people…

@kimsnowden8593, oh man that’s horrible! I am sorry you had to grow up like that. My parents taught me to love everyone no matter their skin color but my grandparents are/we’re really racist. My grandpa died before I met my husband but I was scared to introduce my husband (then boyfriend) to my grandma. She ended up loving him (it’s hard not to) but I was so nervous to have her at our wedding because I didn’t want her to say something racist in front of my husbands family. Luckily she didn’t but it was probably super hard for her. I hate when people pre judge people based on their skin color. I am an ER nurse and I could care less what gender, race, age, religion or whatever. I will treat you the same. Doesn’t matter to me. I see people how they act and their character. Their are horrible white people and there are horrible black people. It doesn’t matter their skin color it matters what they do.

@mommabear3579 Yes mam. That's what I always say. I don't judge your race but your character and how you treat others.. Just like some ppl are hateful towards Arabic people and assume they are terrorist.. Some of my husband's cousins are Arabic and black, their mom was black & dad was Arabic. Well some ppl get raised with the hate & grow up to be monsters but some break the cycle. I really was disgusted to find out there were slave owners in my family, I'm mostly German. I believe in generational curses , what your past relatives have done will fall on us and our children but hopefully I broke that curse on my side at least.

I don’t know for a fact but I’m 99.9999% sure my family was slave owners. They moved to Kentucky in 1760 and were tobacco farmers and owned a small plantation. They weren’t wealthy but they had money. It’s almost impossible that they didn’t own at least one slave. And that doesn’t sit well with me. I think how my mom raised me help brake that curse but I’m not racist at all and I will make damn sure that my kids are not either.
