Trying to explain to my son who is 8 years old about the things going on in our world is hard. I can not fully explain to him the things he will endure in his lifetime due to the color of his skin because I myself have not had to deal with it and never will. I have seen the privileges I have been given due to the color of my skin simultaneously with the treatment of POC from officers of the law. The hurt in my heart I have for my son, my family, my close friends and even strangers who are all POC is heavy. I have to speak up, and stand with them. Staying silent during this time is the same as participation in my eyes. No JUSTICE, No PEACE. 👊🏻👊🏼👊🏽👊🏿
