So these ultrasounds are 6 days apart, first one is 5w5d second one is 6w4d. Looking at other ladies 6 week ultrasounds my baby looks extremely big. My first ultrasound was at a free clinic that confirmed my pregnancy and she said she thinks it could possibly be identical twins but it’s too early to tell. Her reasoning was because the gestational sac looked bigger than a singleton. Which I have seen compared to a lot of other 5 week ultrasounds it is a little bigger but I know that’s not a reason to believe it’s twins. Sooo moving on to my second ultrasound... I wasn’t expecting to get one at my first Obgyn appointment since I am only 6 weeks but the whole time the tech didn’t say a word to me no “here’s your baby” or “this is the heartbeat” which I got to hear. She also labeled the yolk sac as the circle that’s at the top (so in the middle of the gestational sac not attached to anything but the baby) my dr didn’t say much except that it had a heartbeat and that’s what they wanted to see but he wants me back in 2 weeks. As I was walking out of the ultrasound room I overheard him talking to the tech and he said it almost looks like there are 2. Should I be worried about any of this? There’s no way it can be 2 right? I mean I’d be super happy with twins but I just can’t see it being twins at this point. My first ultrasound the tech was very talkative and showed us everything and explained everything as she was showing it even though it wasn’t much. The second one literally said nothing to me the whole time. Maybe I’m just stressing myself out.
As a Sonographer, I can say that there are techs that are talky, and techs that aren’t. Don’t put too much into that. We’re not supposed to be explaining what we see, except basic anatomy, this way if something is off we don’t give things away. We’re not diagnosticians, so we can’t give results of anything

The technicians aren't actually supposed to tell you anything. If anything is wrong or the doctor will let you know.
