So he hasnt been to the dentist yet because our pedi said everything looked ok and to take him when he was 3. Im a FTM so i took his word for it until one of his teeth broke 😭😭 He had an appointment on april 3rd, but with the covid stuff they had to reschedule cuz they closed entirely. Now, he will not let me brush his teeth, so we have to physically hold him down everytime
My daughter will not let me in her mouth at all I try to brush her teeth all the time and she clinches her mouth shut soo hard I cnt get in to brush 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
You’re not a failure. My oldest son had really bad staining as a toddler and I always thought I was doing something wrong but turns out some kids just have a different bacteria in their mouths that caused it. Def try to get your child seen by the dentist. Also like both these lovely ladies said above some times people/children just have bad teeth and it’s not a reflection on what you’re doing! Don’t beat yourself up too bad.
^^^what she said up there... He should of started going to the dentist once he got teeth. And make sure you’re brushing them twice a day, morning & right before bed...no milk or juice before bed & no milk or juice in the middle of the night. You should brush for a full 2 minutes each time, too. I usually sing a song or something to keep my youngest occupied that long. Good luck!
Has he seen the dentist? He may have thin or missing enamel. I have a friend who is meticulous with her daughter's teeth, but some were just missing enamel and decayed.
