Mother’s Day 2020. My world in a photo.

I always wanted a lot of kids. I honestly remember telling Matt on our very first date that I wanted about “5 kids or something like that” someday. The fact that he didn’t run for the hills was a good sign. It’s funny because if you ask Victoria right now she’ll tell you that doesn’t want to have kids someday … and even though I know she’s super young and naive, I can’t believe my ears. I never (ever, ever!) that way.

There are times I stop and look at photos (like this one) and think to myself, “How did I get so lucky?” These 5 kids are mine. I prayed for each and everyone one of them. All of these kids, they were wanted so very badly. And today we get to celebrate!

Being a mother isn’t easy. There’s not one mom in the world who would tell you that it’s a cake walk. Every single day is a new adventure and challenge and struggle. But… we wake up and we do it every single day because we love our kids more than we love our own selves. We all try our best and some days are better than others, but it’s that mom love that makes it all worth it. We’re all trying to teach our kids to be the best kind of people that we can... all trying to RAISE GOOD HUMANS. Fortunately I’m still at the stage of holding on to them for dear life before they head off to start their own lives. I still get to tuck them in every night. I still get to look over homework and make sure they’re trying their best in school. I still get the morning hugs and kisses.

Every mom I know puts her family first. And that very fact right there is the embodiment of motherhood. I want to wish all of my mom friends and my own mom and my mother in law the best Mother’s Day. I love you all and you all inspire me to be a better mom every single day. ❤️

#momlifegear Moms, We're compiling product reviews on all of the products we think mom needs/wants in her new mom life. We want to be the best source online for new moms to learn about products real moms (all of you) think are good, bad, and downright ugly. We'd love to know which stroller you own and what you think about it. Tell us why it was great, what the challenges were, why you'd totally register for it again, or why you wanted to return it. We want to hear it all so our moms can make informed decisions about what to buy for their babies! Thank you! mom.life_usa
