I do both. I get tense when people touch my neck, including kiddo. Sometimes she kisses me there and it gives me instant anxiety. My daughter and I have a thing where we kiss each other on each cheek and then the lips when we're saying goodbye. Other than that we kiss where she sees fit.

Too add further I feel like telling kids kissing on the lips is for adults or whatever is sexualizing a kiss when to kids kiss is simply a form of platonic affection. If my daughter decides she's uncomfortable with it one day then fine but I feel like out right rejecting a kiss from my child anywhere is wrong

my child is small, so I may be excluded from this, lol. I don't kiss his lips, I kiss everywhere else, cheeks, forhead, nose, back, lol. It's weird though, he tries to kiss me on the lips. I guess because I know some people (family members) kiss babies on their lips, I didn't want to "normalize" this for him 🤷🏿‍♀️ idk

Thanks y’all. I think a lot of my issues stem from Childhood and also because my parents were never affectionate. I can’t tell you when the last time my mother told me she loved me but I sure can remember the last time she called me a bitch. I do tell them constantly I love them and I do kiss on the cheeks. I’ve tried to teach personal boundaries age appropriately but of course they are kids and don’t grasp it yet. I remember one time my son came behind me and wrapped his arms around my neck and I immediately got tense and had a panic attack. I felt so bad because I didn’t want him to feel like i didn’t love him or anything like that. My daughter is the kisser. They both love hugs and cuddles and will literally be skin to skin with me if I let them.

I have never kissed my boy’s on the lips 👄 and never have let anyone kiss them on the lips 👄 plus my boy’s don’t like to be kissed.

I do if that’s where they go for . My 3 year old rarely does it he always wants us to kiss him on the cheeks lol but my one year old always tries to go for my lips , I think it’s because he sees my husband n I kiss on the lips randomly and when he sees his dad he automatically does it too .

I had this argument with my dad because he did kiss my daughter on the lips . We don’t . Personally it bothers me and I feel a kiss like that should be left between a couple . My daughter learns now to kiss on the cheek to all her relatives
