In the comments is a picture of my right tonsil. My throat has been hurting pretty badly and getting worse so I decided to look and see if I had what looked like strep. I noticed this weird bump coming off my tonsil. The left side has one too but not as prominent. Anyone know what it could be? I’ll keep an eye on it, but it’s new.

Do you get heart burn? Mine looked like this early this year they did a strep test it was negative. They Thought it was from the acid and started me on heartburn meds. Made a world of difference.

My oldest's looked like that from recurring strep.

Could also be tonsillitis.

When you have strep there will be white pockets

If you touch them do they hurt ? Hold be any number of things , tonsil stones , tonsillitis etc

@scruffy.nerf.herder, straw, long object like a toothbrush. I have had problems with my tonsils for a long time ( I should probably have them removed) but my doctors have told me ways .

I’ve gagged myself accidentally by my toothbrush getting to close to the back of my throat. There’s no way I could get to my tonsils even with a straw 😫🥴😵

If things are sore in there, you may want to try gargling with warm salt water. That always seems to help my throat. And yes, I do still have my gigantic tonsils.
