PSA: PLEASE STOP BLINDLY MEDICATING YOUR CHILDREN WITH OTC MEDICINE...also please stop asking the internet for advice on medication...CALL A DOCTOR...there are nurse after hour lines at many pediatrician offices, teledoc, urgent care offices, heck call the 1-800 number on the back of your insurance card...just please ask before going to Walmart,CVS, Target, etc. The medicine that was used to treat many of us as Children isn't safe for our children now. Studies and research have been done over the course of 10, 20, 30+ years. Please just talk to someone in the medical field.

I very rarely give my daughter any type of medication. I don't think a lot of people realize that OTC medication doesn't cure an ailment it just subsides the symptoms until it eventually goes away on its own. Also giving medication when it's not necessary counteracts the body's ability to naturally heal itself. My daughter has only ever had a fever a little over 102° once the only time I gave her medication during that time was about 3 days into the fever when she started to feel uncomfortable so I gave her a little bit to make her a little bit more comfortable (and that is pretty much all it does) till she could fight it off. Other than that myself and my daughter really do not take any kind of over the counter medication. I take Benadryl because I have allergies that can become pretty severe including the dyshidrotic eczema that is allergy induced I have on my hands.

@raisinglittlegamers yeah, I'm not one for medication. All even try to push through a headache if I can help it. I actually had one last night pretty bad one and I just went to bed woke up this morning and I was fine

Sometimes I take pain medication sometimes I don't because tbh if it's bad enough medicine won't even work so I don't even try...

I used to get migraines too. After I got pregnant with my daughter they stopped but I still get bad habits

I would leave the Benadryl for allergic reactions not seasonal allergies. There are other things that are safe. Did your LC at the hospital not give you a list.????

Call your OB they might have a list of safe medication for breastfeeding moms.
If not call your pediatrician. It's best just to have a list handy for anytime you need any kind of medication

I even worry with Tylenol/ibuprofen. 🤷🏻♀️ I exhaust all other options before giving it. Idk how others don’t . Crazy
