@ai.ariel my daughter takes children's Zyrtec but didn't start that until she was like 4. Again that was only because I was advised by her doctor since her asthma would flare up from seasonal allergies
I'm sure it'll be okay for one time just carefully follow the directions. I know someone that accidentally overdosed her child on Benadryl. Second generation allergy medicine (Zyrtec, Claritin) is much better for seasonal allergies but again talk to her doctor. Benadryl is not something you want to be using regularly for seasonal allergies the risk outweigh the benefits
My daughter takes it occasionally under the recommendation of her doctor for hives and itchy rash issues that she regrettably has been struggling with this year. I would ask you doctor first. As @massgirl, stated, something like Zyrtec may be much better for your particular needs

Call their doctor. I could give my daughter it but it was in her action plan for allergic reactions. I was advise not to give it for common allergies

I usually do Zyrtec. I only do Benadryl if he’s having an allergic reaction but prescribed.
