I’ve seen people across the country take part in this incredible Front Porch Photography Project. Thankful that @devonmcwilliamsphotography came to our neighborhood to offer her incredible services. I wanted everyone to be matching and everyone to be in dress up clothes for this, but it just didn’t seem right for us. The boys grunted when I told them to wear a polo or button down, so I just said… “fine, wear whatever you want!” I didn’t realize that they already matched.

I know we will all remember this time in life for a variety of different reasons. I also know we’re all looking for the silver linings throughout this time, too. My silver lining is being with these 6 people. These 6 people are my world. We haven’t spent this much time together in a very long time. Has it been a cake walk? No. It’s been tough and a struggle in different ways day to day (hello distant learning for 5 kids), but I know I will look back years and years from now and remember the good times from this time. The good times that are my silver linings right now. My life lines.

With 3 teens, 1 tween and a 6 year old… I love nobody running off to a million different meets, games or practices right now. I love nobody worrying that they’re going to be late for something. I love that nobody is begging to go over their friend’s house. I love that nobody is asking to have people over. I love not tracking the boys on my phone when they’re off on their bikes or out in a car with someone, wondering when they’ll be home. These are my silver lining moments right now. It’s being on the front porch with these 6 knowing that as long as they’re safe and sound, my world is OK. .
