How do you handle your toddler and bedtime
My 2 year old is currently at the gate in her room crying. She crys little bit then stops for like 5 minutes then crys a little again. I don't want to go in there because all she wants to do is go in the living room and I feel like she'll be getting herself in bed after to long getting tireder

This is the reason I won’t put my youngest in a big girl bed yet.. cause I know she’s never gonna stay in it.

I didnt think so either when she got a big girl bed. I was surprised. She loved it so much but there are times that it is a struggle. Just lately she'll do ths screening bloody mary at bed time. Like its seriously loud and over dramatic

oh yeah that would definitely be no fun at all! hopefully it's just a phase and she stops soon ! maybe make her take a shorter nap during the day so she will be extra tired at night and not have the energy to wanna fight to be out in the living room.

that's the thing. She barely naps lol.... tonight though she fell asleep watching tv in my room when I had her settling down for bed. So all that whining the last week drained her I guess lol

My daughter lets us know when she is ready for a nap or bed. She will bring me her sippy cup, say “water and night night mommy”in her baby talk. While I fill up her water she grabs a diaper and her wipes and crawls on the couch. She is an extremely easy child, I give kudos to the moms who have to fight their children at bedtime.

That's great. My kid it can go either way. But this week shes been ssd's screaming not wanting to go to bed. Its hard

Redirect without saying a word. Go to her, pick her up, put her in bed and walk away. If they dont get attention for the bad behaviour, they will eventually stop. When she finally goes down, praise her in there morning "thank you for going to bed last night, it made mommy really happy!" Its hard to do, but it works

Don’t say anything don’t make eye contact take her back to bed over and over eventually she will stay take out the lightbulb
