Alot of people have told me once we're ready to commit 100, get them to throw the diapers out with you that way they know theres no other option. Im waiting for the baby to be older and for him to speak more but thats my plan

Throw the pullups out like the Above mother said. And when I potty trained my daughter I would just ask them periodically throughout the day. Sometimes I’d have the pot in the living room in front of the t.v which made it easier for her to go because that’s where she would spend most of her time anyways.

I have boys but I agree with getting rid of the diapers. Mine were both fully potty trained at 2. Also, you have to be consistent even when you don't feel like it. I used to cut on a timer for every 5 minutes and then 10, 30 and so on.

Did you guys still use overnight diapers for when they sleep? or no?

Get rid of the pull-ups and use a diaper for night time only. Put her in underwear and don’t give her any other option. Take her to the potty every hour, or more if she’s drinking a lot. Start a reward system if you haven’t already. We did candy for poop and stickers for pee. Don’t wait for her to tell you when she has to go, she’ll hold it as long as she can. It’s a process.

I agree with 2sweetie. My daughter is completely potty trained day and night. We used pull-ups for a while and she would just pee in them all day. As soon as we got rid of them she would tell me she had to go. We still used them for a while at night, but we ran out one day and I said I’m not buying anymore. She’s slept in panties for 3 weeks now and hasn’t had one accident

With my first I used diapers at night but with my second I cold turkey cut the diapers out completely. She stays dry at night and has mastered using the potty for pee completely on her own. We started on the 28th of March. So far the only accidents she has had are two pee accidents and poo. She is working on the poo. It's worth the messes to keep them moving forward and to help them understand there is only one acceptable place to potty. She will be 2 next month and I am very proud of her. She knows to use the potty we had to drive 3 hours to seek medical care for me at our VA ER on Saturday and she stayed dry the entire drive. She told her daddy that she needed to potty. Carry a potty with you everywhere. We even have one on the back porch. We own our home so we can do this and we don't have neighbors. Our babies will feel our confidence in them and do better when we trust in them. I have found that to be true with mine. Best of wishes!!!

My daughter was wearing a pull up or diaper during the night but after a while I felt like she didn’t really need it and she only peed in it because it was there. One day I stopped and just left her in underwear and she never wet the bed. I put a mattress cover on just in case but it’s stayed dry.
