I think my daughter may be ready to start learning to read. I can tell she really wants to but I don't know what the next step is. she can identify letters both lower and upper case and in different fonts. she knows the sounds of each letter too. she knows to go from left to right. my mom taught her to sound out and spell her name which she is so proud about. I know she'll be so confident when she finally learns to read I'm just not sure how to get her to that point
Focus on print awareness and phonological awareness next. Once she masters those you can move on to sight words.

@tammyarielc lol yes Google print and phonological awareness. It's actually pretty easy to understand and teach once you know what it is.
Put post it notes on things in your house labeling what they are. “Chair” “table” etc
