We just got the message that schools will be closed until the end of the school year 😭😭😭 We were supposed to go back May 4. How can they come to this decision already? I’m heart broken for my daughter. She misses her teacher and classmates.

Our schools are supposed to get out June 13 for summer break. The announced like 2 weeks ago they wont be returning for the school year. Our lock down is until June 10th as well. They made that decision for your children’s school because we will be dealing with pandemic for months. If people continue to not follow social distancing and the guidelines it can last a lot longer.

Our last day was supposed to be June 12 so I was hopeful the kids would get a month of school. We have no date for lockdown. We’re just supposed to limit all outings to essential needs until further notice. Hopefully the kids will get some sort of summer. It’s barely April 1 and we’re already going crazy.

It was a decision based on the projected models of how this virus will get worse and how long we will likely be dealing with this. Most schools will not be returning this year and tbh, we could still be dealing with this come August.

Have you not seen that there's a pandemic going on? And that the US is estimated on having 100000 to 200000 people die from this virus and those numbers only happen if EVERY state is under a stay at home order and people actually follow it until may 31st.. if everyone doesn't follow a stay at home order even more people are projected to die.
That is the reason why your school made their cancelation decision "already"

I have not heard any dates. We are to stay at home until further notice. I figured they would see how it goes before making such a life altering decision like canceling 3 months of school.

100 THOUSAND TO 200 THOUSAND people are projected to die in the US and only IF everyone stays the fuck at home for 2 fucking months!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are also projections that we are going to start seeing 2000 plus people dying A DAY!!
I'll tell you what is "life altering".... fucking dying that's what is life altering. The time "to wait and see" is LONG GONE.
Once again this is a PANDEMIC and people are dying because some people aren't taking this seriously.
