Has anyone used instacart? Especially recently. I am unable to leave my house and usually I go shopping once a month at Costco and Aldi. I'm wondering about the process.
What happens if they're out of items at the store? Do you find the delivery people to be reliable??

Yea after I posted this I tried to go "shopping" on their site and they aren't booking deliveries right now. These companies need to stop being greedy and pay their employees appropriately because the people that are willing to get out there need it the most.

I use it all the time. You can select “replacement items” just in case they don’t have the exact thing u r looking for. Or u can put “don’t change item” (I think it says), that means that if they don’t have what u r looking for they refund you. Say they don’t have ur item OR a replacement item they refund you. The people who have shopped for me, especially recently with a lot being out of stock, they will text you and let you know and u can say just give me a refund.

I order off aldis site “grocery delivery” and they go thru Instacart for the delivery.

I was thinking about putting an Aldi order in too. I went to food lion today because it’s closer to my house but they didn’t have a few things on my list.
When I add items to my cart it will come up with a possible replacement.

I’ve used it in the past. If they’re out of something they will text you with substitute options. If they’re out of the item you won’t be charged but they’ll notify you. I’ve heard good things about shipt also.

I used shipt at target and instacart. I haven’t been to the grocery store for almost a month. Once they deliver the goods, I wipe them down before bringing the items inside. And yes, they offer replacements or refunds if the item is out of stock.

Have you used instacart recently. I wonder if they stopped all orders or if it's just my area? We're immunocompromised so I only go to the store for the pharmacy. I have to be in and out. I can't shop. I use peapod for groceries but wanted to stock up on things at Costco.

I used them last on Monday afternoon. I have asthma and my 75 year old MIL is staying with us. So delivery is the only way to go for us right now. I tried Costco first. Had a giant $300 plus order ready that took me FOREVER on instacart last week but right as I was going to click it, it told me no delivery times avail. 😒😒😒

that's super annoying. I have about $250 in my cart with instacart so far at Costco and haven't added my Aldi order yet. I'm hoping they'll start taking deliveries again next week because that's when we'll need it

I use Instacart through Publix. I like it a lot. I can watch as they shop and see which items they’ve found and they will let me know if they are out of something and if I want a replacement. You can send them chat messages while they’re shopping which has been super helpful. I’ve requested things like extra beef when they couldn’t get any chicken or with things that have limits they will let me know so that I can choose which I would prefer. Did your other order come through ok? I know you’d been anxious about what you may be able to get
