My 5 yr old has had one since four he looses interest and we just quit buying the books for it there expensive

Yea, that’s what I’m worried about. It’s soooo hard to keep my 5 year old’s attention. So I wanted to get something educational but also something that will keep his attention/interest. Thanks for letting me know ‘cause I’m not about to be throwing money down the drain lol

they have this cool giant map on amazon and it talks and says the states etc that might a cool option as well

We purchased one with a ton of extras on eBay for our two year old. She loves it. Have you looked into an amazon fire tablet? We also have one. It actually has a better selection of learning games for about the same price. Get the fire 8 HD if you go in that direction, the 7 has issues.

He has the amazon fire tablet. He loves it. He’s had it for awhile though and since school is out for the mean time I wanted to get something a tad bit more educational. But after what you just said, maybe the Leap Frog isn’t that much more educational than the Amazon tablet..
