So doctors is closed today but I’m worried my toddler may have a uti. What are things I can do to keep her comfortable? Yesterday she said her area (private) was bothering her once & I put her in the tub she didn’t complain again until today so I put her in the tub again. She bathed everyday, drinks water & goes to the bathroom normal & doesn’t complain when she goes . She has recently started wiping herself just curious what could be wrong

Lots and lots of fluids. I think cranberry juice is good for UTIs (?)
Could it be a yeast infection?
Usually with UTIs you have a fever.

idk because she’s not showing any other signs. Going to bathroom normal, not complaining when she goes, no fever & her undies are clean.

I don't know anything about yeast infection in kids or UTIs (I never had one)
But when I had a yeast infection I didn't have any symptoms other than being itchy
No odor
No discharge
Nothing...

yeah I’ll have to contact her pediatrician tomorrow she does suffer from constipation so I’m wondering if that can be playing a part too

Okay thanks & I have been bathing her everyday & she was wiping the wrong way at first because I asked her to show me how she’s wiping & sure enough was the wrong way🤦🏾♀️ I’m do lot of liquid & keep an eye on it see if it changes

Tub baths are great
But not everyday. If she starts to
Complain a lot I’d take her to a urgent care or ask the pediatrician for a prescription for antibiotics , if Uti’s get too bad they can turn into kidney infections.

Make sure she’s not wiping from back to front that can really cause utis or other infections also cranberry juice helps with utis
