How do you thaw your frozen meat? I remember my mom leaving it out in the sink in the morning when I was young, I usually use the microwave but not sure what is best. I usually boil chicken and it never tastes very good
I always put my frozen hamburger in a bowl and run it under hot water and then I’m able to take a knife and slice the packaging enough to put it into a pot and cook it
I usually either fill the sink with cold water and put the meat in there, or I put it on a thawing plate in the fridge or on the counter (no longer than 2 hours)
Leaving it out half the day then put it in the refrigerator for a few hours and make it that night
Water salt and lemon juice defrosted within an hour and it’s a good cleaning solution !
If I forget to take it out the night before (which I usually do), I just sit it in the sink for a couple of hours and then put it in the fridge for the rest of the day.
Refrigerator or if I forget I will thaw it in cold water right before cooking. It is not recommended to leave it out at room temp
Take it The day before in the fridge or you can put it in a colander or just in your sink ( if it’s in plastic ) and continuously run cool water over it .
Leaving it out all day from the freezer actually increases your risk of food poisoning 😅😬
Get a pressure cooker, this will NEVER be a problem again. Worth EVERY penny!
I also take it out of the freezer & leave it a day or two in the fridge & it will defrost.
I usually put in out in the morning. It’s thawed by dinner. Depending the temperature of the house. Sometimes put it in refrigerator to thaw.
I get the meat out in the morning/afternoon for dinner. Depends what it is and how big.
Either put it in the fridge a day or two before I want to use it or set it out in the sink early in the day I want to use it.
I'm not a fan of using the microwave to defrost it.
Yeah, I feel like it’s not healthy/safe to do it like that. With all of this craziness I am thawing out meat like every day so I wanted to see what everyone else does
I usually run it under warm water if I’m in a rush . Or place it in the fridge the day before
