ok, I just read that they are closing the lobbies drive up and atms are still open. Do you have a link to where he said they would be completely closed till the end of the year, schools are closed till the end of the academic year

Banks are essential they won’t be closing. Also the school year and the end of year are very different times.

School is closed for the calendar year. Banks, grocery stores, drs, gas stations, restaurants that offer drive up/pick up/delivery are all still open.

When does your school year typically end? May?? Ours is mid June. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they don't jump the gun up here and cancel it the remainder of the year... it'll be such a long summer 😫

This is the governor’s statement on k-12 schools in Virginia:
“All schools will remain closed through the end of this academic year. The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) will issue guidance to help divisions execute plans to continue instruction, while ensuring students are served equitably, regardless of income level, access to technology, English learner status, or special needs. This includes options for additional instruction through summer programming, integrating instruction into coursework next year, and allowing students to make up content. VDOE will submit a waiver to the federal government to lift end-of-year testing requirements and is exploring options to waive state mandated tests.”

Banks are also included in the list of essential businesses that may remain open during normal business hours. I’ll post the list if anyone wants it.

June 13th. They are doing virtual teaching though.
