We went for a walk today and as usual the girls wanted to go to the patch of dense thickets to see the deer skull that's lying in the middle (kinda morbid, I know). They all worked their way through the tunnel of branches into the middle, poked at the bones with a stick then turned around to head out. ⁣

The 2 older girls lost track of the trail leading out and started fighting branches and prickers while Aubrie stayed by me and held my hand. I could see the trail that we had come in on because I'm bigger (and because I just remember where it is from going through it 1000 times, lol). Aubrie followed along holding onto my hand, carefully stepping over the branches I showed her and waiting while I held back prickers, meanwhile the other girls were still fighting briars and branches and tripping over roots in the middle, determined to forge their own path. Tessa was NOT having it, I regret not getting a picture of that mess 😂⁣

I snapped this picture right as Aubrie made it into the clearing out of the thicket because somehow it felt so peaceful. ⁣

Do you feel like you're caught in the thicket of life right now? I've been seeing so many negative posts/comments (not on this app as much but on a lot of others) and I just felt the need to put something positive out there. I'm a graphic designer and some of you may have seen this graphic before that I made with my baby girls first and middle name. I got a decent amount of good feedback from it so I figured I'd share my talent and make some for you guys!
