HERE'S THE QUESTION.
How did you switch your baby from formula to milk? Like how did you do the ounces. He will be 1 in 2 weeks so it won't hurt him, he's already gotten the ok from his doctor and our WIC office, I just don't understand how to do it. And online has everything confusing lol
I didn't have to do this with my first because I nursed him until he was 2 years 2 months. And he didn't like normal milk until I said enough is enough than we found out he was lactose intolerant. 🤦♀️

I would make bottles mostly formula and 1 Oz of milk and increase every couple of days. It’ll be easier on his stomach than just switching.

Yea I don't want to just go cold turkey on him and give him straight milk. I wanted to slowly ease him into it. It's just all confusing . Hopefully I can find more formula so I have a little bit longer time to ease him into it. I just started yesterday with it, so far he doesn't seem to mind it at all.

I just wanted to add I've been doing what online has said to do which is 6 ounces of formula and 2 ounces of milk . But it doesn't say how long to do it before switching it to less formula and more milk . We have one can of formula left due to shortage in my small town. Adults without kids are stocking it up because it last longer than milk from what an employee has said about it when I asked if there was more.

Just a few days. As awful as this sounds it’s similar to switching dog food 3-5 days before changing it again

Just put milk in with the formula and gradually change the amounts of each one until its all milk

I got that part but I wasn't sure of how long to do for like the 6 oz of formula to 2 oz of milk. Like 2 or 3 days than change it up a bit ? That's what I'm confused by. It seems stupid I even feel dumb for asking but I'm not sure on that part 😂

I started at half and half if he will take it with no problems then great 👍 give him a few days then 1/4th it

Once I decided to switch her to milk I would put 1 oz of milk and the rest formula for about a week then 2 oz of milk at the rest formula for another week and so on until it was just milk

I did half formula half milk for a while and kept putting less formula and more milk until eventually he just had an entir bottle of milk !

My son didnt mind cold Turkey he liked it better. But I'd try half and half right out the gate if he dont care for it do a little more formula and a little less milk then up the regular milk and lower the formula by an ounce and replace with milk every 2 days cant really mess it up every kids takes different to it.

I just switched over. I never mixed it with formula. At first I would just give them plain milk and then I started adding chocolate nesquick or strawberry.
Never had a problem switching them

For my first child I transition little by little started making 6 oz of formula mixed with 2 oz of nido powder milk.
For the rest of my girls I just gave them a bottle of nido powder milk, they drank it and that was that

I don’t have any advice since I never used formula for my kids but just saw your username and noticed you have a son named Dillon? That’s my son’s name 😊 I haven’t met anyone that used that spelling.
