For my siblings and I it was sloppy joes and orange pop. My parents always made sure we had the best birthdays. My siblings and I would always get one on one time with our mom. She’d take us out of school at noon then we’d go out to eat at our favorite restaurant, (we’d even get to pick out a toy from their treasure chest) after we’d go out shopping to pick out a special toy. Then home for sloppy joes, cake and ice cream along with opening presents. Those were the best birthdays ever. Sure beat actually birthday parties with friends over.
