Should Step Parents Be Allowed to Spank Step Children?

Heck no! If they can needs it then the parent should!

Yup especially if the first one was never there to begin with once they step up to responsibility then they have the right discipline is important

Depends if the step mother is taking on full mother duties if the biological mother isn’t in the picture than yes. But it depends on the situation

I don't think either bio or step parent should spank. I do however think step parents should be allowed to discipline in an appropriate way.

This is one of those things that shouldn't be assumed, but discussed between all three adults.

I do believe that step parents should have the same rights as the biological parent. They should be able to discipline when a child is in their care.

I’ve been given permission to spank my step kids by both there parents but I choose not to I don’t feel comfortable doing so and I wouldn’t be comfortable someone else spanking My children.

I don't spank but believe step parents should have some authority especially if they are watching the child. When me and hubs first started going together he just punished his daughter. Now we been together 12 yrs and she lives with us i can punish her if i need too. Don't recall when i started punishing her. I think its when i started keeping her by myself.

i think they should. but shouldnt be the first go-to disciplinarian. leave that up to the parent first, if you all are alone & the behavior warrants a spanking then yes.
