My son sounds long he has quite a bit of mucous in his chest/lungs. He got over a cold about a week ago and has sounded This way since . Anything I can do to help? Been doing his Vick’s and albuterol and saline treatments

Vick's isn't safe for children under 2 years old.
Use a cool mist humidifier when he sleeps, the moisture will loosen up the mucus and he will be able to expel it.

Stop Vicks, it can cause respiratory issues. Go in a closed bathroom with all the hot water on and let the steam work it's magic.

menthol is worse for babies under 5. It's too strong for their little lungs and can make things worse. Does he have asthma?

he recently got diagnosed , but it’s not a wheeze , I can just hear the congestion . Like I can tell the difference when he’s having an attack if that makes sense lol
