My sister and her wife have a newborn and a 2 year old, they call each other a different name when speaking in front of their daughter. my sister is mama and my sister in law is mommy, to try and teach their daughter a little distinction between the two. Though right now since she’s so little they both just respond to her cause mostly everything comes out mama at this point lol.
So my sister and her wife.
They go by whatever the kids call them
So they'll both answer to mom, mommy and mama. I plan on doing the same once our GF is at the stage. I'll let my kids call them whatever makes them comfortable.
I have a daughter from a previous relationship but I’m now married and my wife is cool with my daughter calling her by her first name. We are thinking of having a baby sooner than later and we were wondering how or what do other parents have their children call them! I like the idea of just calling us mom mommy etc.

My sister met her wife when my nephew was 2. When he was about 4. He was like Can I call you mom"
It was such a heartfelt moment for them both.
Now he'll be like mommy "then her name"
They just added a new baby who just turned one . He is just now talking and he calls them both mama. Once he's older he'll probably decide to add some distinction
