This is my mother! Literally everytime I'm on the phone with her shes bringing up my daughter's name. I change the subject everytime! I dont get why people think their opinions matter on things like this.

I think Amanda is a very pretty name but I agree, it’s very common. Granted, the name we went with, Mila, isn’t uncommon. But we picked it because it was the only one that stood out to us and I personally have never met another Mila.

Ridiculous I get the same also One of my boys is named Ignacio, not it's not a traditional Kyle (nothing wrong with that name) but I gave him his name because is has significant meaning to it. My son is very proud of his name and spells it no problem. tell everyone to suck it! lol

@itsmel, Haha yup! We experienced the same with our son. He has the same name as my MIL’s ex (but it’s my husband’s dad so, 🙄) so she was so against us naming him the same name. She was like “I’m not going to call him that” but guess what? She uses his name all the time now🤷🏻♀️😂 and I’m just like, all that fussing for nothing. I guess she thought she could change our minds if she whined enough about it.

Yes! My name is Amanda and it's so common because it was popular in the 90s. Mila is super cute and unique but still classy. It's more common than they think too. At least in my area. I've met at least four Mila(s) in the last 5 years or so.

That's exactly why we don't tell anyone our kids names until they're born. If YOU love the name that's all that truly matters and it makes it to where people can't give their opinion. Who cares what anyone else thinks unless you're naming your baby Lucifer or something stupid like that. 🤣🤣🤣

I had some back lash on my son Saint. But it doesnt matter they get used to it. As long as you love it. I wanted to name my son saint long before kim and kanye so I get alot when I tell his name they are like oh like kim and kanye like no like me and my husband.

I remember when I told my family what we were naming our boy my sister was like "are you sure? Naming a child is a lot of responsibility." The thing is, that input wasn't needed because that's his name now lol
