The batteries? Usually the life of the detectors is only 10 years but they recommend changing the batteries every 6 months. A good reminder is to do it at the daylight savings times switch.

nope, you can’t even get to the battery because when it needs replaced you have to buy a whole new one not just batteries. they’re pretty awesome i can’t lie. BUT i do have an old one in my room so i should probably change those even though i know it works since i accidentally set it off last night 🙄😂
