trying this bath with olive oil in it to (hopefully🙏🏼) help her skin 🙌🏼 she’s got an appt with a dermatologist the 24th for her skin issues & im praying they can find a solution or some type of lotion or something for her. it’s been years & this poor kid needs relief cause she’s just getting worse. she’s always so itchy or her skin is cracked & hurting 🥺 doesn’t matter what i use on her, her skin does not improve even slightly 😕 so hopefully this bath can make some difference so maybe until her appt she won’t be bothered as much by it 🙏🏼

Have you tried increasing healthy fats in her and maybe an omega 3 fish oil supplement? That sounds miserable. :(

@jmw24815, we do the oatmeal in the bath always, but i’ve never tried the apple cider vinegar & i actually got a big bottle not too long ago so i’ll have to try that too. this olive oil bath seemed to help a lot but the issue seems to be that nothing lasts long. like when she goes to school, by the time she gets home she is SO dry & it makes me feel horrible. like you said, her skin can be unrecognizable & it’s her entire body. she doesn’t have patches or sections, it’s literally head to toe horrible dry skin & then she just has spots worse than others. currently i use the home made body butter that seems to really take well to her skin because it’s pretty oily so her skin soaks it in slowly. i’ll bring up that ointment you’re talking about at her appointment forsure though cause we have never got that as far as i can remember.

yeah the apple cider vinegar is a natural antiseptic and antifungal. It’s great for a lot of things. I’m highly allergic to mosquitos and flea bites and that’s literally the only thing that works cotton balls dipped in apple cider vinegar. I would keep using the cream you’re using if it’s working and then the one prescribed by the doctor because it’ll last a lot long which is why I said ointment vs cream.
