Update from this mornings post. They put me on monitor. Checked for dilation because I was having more tiny contractions. Still dilated the same as yesterday. Gave me the 2nd shot of steroids. They are worried because my cervix is funneled closed and it's not normal. They did an ultrasound to measure my cervix length. 6 weeks ago it was 4 cm and today it is 2 cm. That puts me at a greater risk of preterm labor, which we obviously don't want.

With them finding that out they gave me 3 options.

1. To stay and be monitored for 24 hrs to make sure steroid shots are doing their job.

2. Start vaginal progesterone here and continue on for 10 weeks but be discharged and get to go home.

3. Stay here and do both.

Safest thing for baby and me is to do both so I am doing both (also didn't want to make my OB more mad at me if I went home again.) Need to keep baby boy cooking a little longer. Thankful for my husband actually stepping up and accepting the fact that he needs to stay home with our daughter so mommy and baby brother can stay healthy. So what I have to stay here by myself, at least I know baby is being monitored and my baby girl is safe at home with daddy. Wish they could both stay the night here, but not possible. I can do one more night away from my baby girl :(
