Damn 60 years ago my grandpa took out a life insurance policy. It was for my dad and his two sisters to split 100,000$ when he dies. He’s paid 75$ a month his whole life!!! Well he got a letter in the mail stating that he turned 80 and the insurance is no longer valid 😳 apparently it was in the fine print when he took it out 60 years ago that when he turns 80 it’s no longer a thing. Wtf!!!! He’s so upset and already in bad shape and they do that too elderly people how shitty!!

He’s gonna get a lawyer but that’s so incredibly shitty!!! Now the damn stress will kill him that’s like 54,000 $ down the drain he’s paid to them from my calculations .

60 years ago life expectancy was in the 70s. It makes sense for then, but crappy they never updated the policy though

Its shitty how that fine print is. He obviously was trying to take care of his family, even in death 😪!!
I hope he's able to fight it! Some life insurance polices you're able to cash in if you live past the date! See if he can?! If it has cash value, he may get some back. In the meantime tell him to look into a whole life policy and not a term-life policy, so it has no end. I hate this for him! 💔

He has some dementia issues now so he’s so clueless and upset about what’s going on. Of course he can’t find any of the documents he signed or paper works it’s been 60 damn years. I can’t believe they can just do that to people wait until your about to die and rob your ass seems like

@fakefruitlookingforyou oh girl I know! Some people don't know about the policy and what it entails, they just try to do what they can for their family.
Maybe you could handle it and call the company on his behalf or your dad can, hes under enough stress.
