I use this for my salmon burgers. I just make them bigger for burgers instead of smaller for the salmon cakes. I don’t use canned salmon, I bake a fillet then flake it for this recipe. I’m sure the canned is good too though.
Halibut and rockfish are my two favorites, followed by salmon. We eat salmon a lot. Salmon burgers, salmon tacos, baked salmon, pan fried salmon, salmon grilled on a cedar plank, salmon salad sandwiches (like tuna salad).
I love the pescatarian journey. I eat high protein and lower carb and it seems to work perfect for me. It’s how I maintain my 130lb weight loss. I love tilapia, especially in just some butter and herbs. I love to make grill packets with veggies too. I’ll confess to being a shrimp junkie, tuna and crackers are a great go to snack. I tend to only eat chicken or turkey in social situations now.
